  • Essay / Wrestlemania 20 - 931

Wrestlemania 20 is in my opinion one of the greatest Wrestlemanias of all time, aside from a few lackluster matches. The atmosphere and electricity that took place there amazed me. The Undertaker's return is scary, and I loved the controversial crowd, even though they were dead for some things when they shouldn't have been. Every 10 years, Wrestlemania emanates from The Garden, so it was really special. There were so many good times. Between Beniot's incredible title win and Trish's shocking heel turn, it was simply a great and captivating spectacle, and remains one of my favorite Wrestlemania matches for the United States title. John Cena vs. The Big Show|C|. Cena gets a HUGE pop. Entertaining antics from Cena early on. The crowd is interested, but I couldn't because of all the boredom it caused. I like both of these guys, but they don't mix well. Cena wins by hitting the Attitude Adjustment.1/5Fatal Four Way World Tag Team Championships. Booker.T&RVD vs. Garrison Cade&Mark Jindrak vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. La Resistance. Dudley got a huge pop. Not bad for its genre, with some exciting spots, notably from Book and RVD. However, the crowd had a hard time getting into it, and Cade and Jindrak seemed lost. Booker and RVD retain.2 1/2 /5Christian vs. Chris Jericho. Nice pop for Y2J. Absolutely fabulous match, which ranks among the best Wrestlemania matches. With these two, you know what you're getting, and it's the best. Christian's psychology and mind games were great. Christian wins, when Trish hits Jericho, by mistake. Trish pulls off one of the most shocking heel turns in history in my opinion, siding with Christian after the match, not only shocking, but incredibly hot.5/5Handicap M...... middle of paper..... .owd is firmly with Beniot, with lots of "Let's go Beniot" chants, as well as some minor "HBK" chants. Easily the best match of the night, and dare I say the rivals are the best in Wrestlemania history? it's definitely up there. The 3 simply gelled together, it obviously shows. All three put their hearts into making this match the classic that it is, with its unpredictability and non-stop excitement. In one of the greatest moments I have ever witnessed, Beniot wins the title by making Triple H drop out. Beniot and Eddie celebrate in the afterword, in a truly emotional moment.5/5Bottom line. Wrestlemania 20 is a great experience, and definitely one of my favorites, for many reasons. This deserves praise from every wrestling fan and, at the time, it brought my faith back in wrestling. This is something you need to experience if you haven't. A must see.9/10
