Essay / Story of a bad day
A huge, loud boom was all I heard. As my friends all rushed to see what had happened, I was, to say the least, not worried that anything bad had ensued. My car, which was parked in front of my friend's house, was destroyed. The rear bumper completely torn off, the police car's lights out, other pieces of my car on the ground, it looked like someone had decided to wreck my car. I will never pass that stretch of road without getting the exact picture of what could be one of the worst days of my life. Say no to plagiarism. My best friend and I decided to go hang out with a few of our friends before we all went off to college. I didn't know it would be one of the worst days of my life. We were all having a great time, blasting our music, singing our hearts out and dancing the night away. It was I who took us to our friend's house; however, I didn't tell my parents exactly where I was going. As we all know, parents want to know exactly what and where their child is going to be and/or do. I was going to the bathroom and as soon as I came out, one of our friends shouted, “Oh my God!” Someone's car is completely destroyed! No one described what the car looked like and no one really knew what my car looked like. However, while I was in the bathroom, I heard something loud; I didn't think anything of it. I didn't think anything bad had happened. My friend asked me if I had a stick and I said, "Yes, it's in my car, come with me and we'll look for it." We go down the stairs and out to suddenly see police officers and police cars with their lights on all around the street. My friend and I were wondering what happened because they were all very close to my car. My heart sank into my stomach, pounding and shaking. I started to feel this feeling of anxiety and nervousness. As we walk to the back of my car, where the police were, I see that the entire back of my car has been completely torn off. At this point, I didn't know what or how to handle this situation, but I was bursting into tears. Before that night, I had never been in such a situation and I didn't know how to react. I was hyperventilating to the point where I couldn't even talk to the police. Going around in circles, trying to figure out what to do, I texted and called a few of my friends to give me advice on what I should do. In the end, only my decision mattered. The biggest worry I had was my parents. I didn't tell them before that I was going to go out with some friends and I also didn't tell them where I was going to be. At that moment, the only thoughts going through my mind were: my parents are going to lose all trust in me, I will never be able to go out again, and the simple fact that my car can no longer be taken out cannot be repaired. Shortly after we had been outside for a while, everyone else who was in the house came out to see what had happened. They were all trying to help me find out how this happened. The police then asked who owned this car, so of course I had to go talk to them. They asked me for all my information, my car information, etc. Then I saw this guy standing there with the police and as soon as the police stopped asking me questions, he started saying "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry." sorry" to, 39(3), 621-651.
