Evaluation EssayWhen I first dove into the water, my eyes were greeted by an incredible school of fish of all sizes and shapes. As I descended slowly, I could see an underwater landscape in the distance. I never imagined I would see things underwater with such clarity. If I looked long enough, I could make out every last detail of the activity going on below me. I could see small baby fish trying to get away from their parents, larger fish sleeping, and a reef system teeming with life. This is why I scuba dive, I reminded myself, to see incredible underwater worlds and their abundance of life. I have experienced these kinds of dives many times in warm tropical waters. So when I was offered the chance to dive into a local quarry, I immediately wondered why. I knew that a quarry is an area that was once used to quarry stone, which filled with water from a natural spring once the mining activity was abandoned, I just didn't understand why anyone one would like to dive there. Is there any interesting aquatic life to observe? Are there things to explore? Would diving in such a place help me improve my diving skills? Despite my apprehension, after my first cold fresh water quarry dive, I was able to answer these questions positively and say that cold water quarry diving was just as rewarding as any warm water tropical dive . As a diver, I want to see diverse aquatic life. and discover how they live and interact with their natural environment. In warm tropical environments, divers can observe thousands of species of fish, plants and other animals among the numerous coral reefs, which are home to this endless entertainment of wildlife. I discovered that a cold water quarry offers diversity of aquatic life......middle of paper skills......ion. It is also very common to find training platforms set up in the quarry to allow divers to practice basic diving techniques. The silty bottom of a quarry is perfect for practicing or improving buoyancy skills, which every diver must perfect. No matter what diving skill a diver wants to practice, there is a career that makes it possible. I feel like most divers haven't done this, or don't give career diving due diligence. With most quarries being a closer drive, divers can dive more often. I think a serious diver should take any diving opportunity that can improve their skills and allow them to explore something new. If given the opportunity, quarry diving is an opportunity for any diver to enjoy an eye-opening and rewarding experience that brings a fantastic opportunity to study the diversity of aquatic life, explore many interesting objects and to improve your diving skills..
