    Patter to the Decimal System “Dewey” Dewey, the library cat, is probably one of the most remarkable cats anyone has ever heard of. Dewey is a small orange tabby cat that the writer (Vicki Myron) found in the rain on her way to work and brought Dewey with her to the library. From that moment on, Dewey, the library cat, grew up in a library relying on every book he saw. Its name comes from the Dewey decimal system. He unintentionally inspired thousands of people by being himself. He asks Myron and the rest of the library staff to play with him, feed him, and take care of him. He truly was the cat that everyone who read him loved him. Although some people didn't feel the same way after reading Dewey. Dewey had a long life at the library that taught people to have fun, to be happy, and to be kind to people. It has changed authors since she found it and having been friends for years, she wanted to share how she felt. His life is filled with multiple acts that inspire the masses of people who read it. Dewey being a small town cat, his story lives on by giving him friends he has never met. Dewey has more and more friends, but not in the way most people would expect. Dewey made friends with everyone in the library in the small Iowa town, but after he passed away, Myron wrote a book about his life and everyone who read the book feels like friends. He has the personality and curiosity that ultimately won everyone over. Besides the city being his friends, the library staff were his true family. Especially Vicki Myron, the reason was that he loved her immensely from day one, their relationship went from friends to best friends to family.
