INTRODUCTIONI have to write a report on an industrial sector in my professional field in relation to my course of study. This report will be worth 20% of my final result of my professional experience. I will choose to write about computer network security for my professional report. In my report, I will provide a description of the industrial sector (Computer Network Security) and name the range of professions associated with it. I will also provide details on the qualifications and experience needed for work associated with the occupation discussed in this report and explore employment and career opportunities in this occupational field. I will include the profile of an example organization linked to the professional report. I will also discuss the past, present and future of computer network security. I will include a conclusion in which I summarize the main points covered in this report and have my references for this assignment at the end. MAIN BODY (Part 1) What is computer network security? 2. Computer network security is basically the arrangements and policies adopted by a network administrator or technician that stops and monitors unauthorized access, misuse, modification or denial of a computer network. Computer network security involves authorization of access to data on a network, which is controlled by the network administrator or technician. 1. I found that profiling a sample company gave me good insight into the business. I found the way they share their troubleshooting problems very effective, as they share their knowledge of the troubleshooting problems they have encountered so far with each other through their companies from different countries on a network and recorded in a database. I found the future of computer security on the Internet very intriguing. I found it interesting that there are other routes to becoming qualified in Internet IT security outside of university. For example, I could find a day job after completing my two year course at Cavan IT and I can also do a distance learning course from home..
