  • Essay / The next challenge - 698

After taking English 101, I believe I am ready to move on to English 300, because I learned the basics of English through this course which I will help to apply them during the next English lesson. When I started English 101, I thought of two things. The first thing was: am I going to be able to pass this course? And the second thing I thought was: what important content will I learn in this English class? To answer the first question, everything depends on this finale and the possible revisions that I will make to it. And to answer the second question, the important things I learned in English 101 are how to edit and improve essays, understand the use of grammar and punctuation, how grammar exercises were helpful to me and learn to use grammar tools. I started this English course, I didn't really know what I was getting myself into. I have always had difficulty writing essays. It was more about reading something and then saying what the author's argument was for just writing a personal narrative essay. When I was working on the first essay, I wasn't sure how to analyze a text, but by the end of this course, I can pick something to read and actually tell you what the author's point of view is. Before this class I never knew that "writing is never done", I thought it was once you submitted that paper and got a grade back that you could move on. But I have learned that there is always room for revision. I can say that from every essay I have written, each of them still has room for changes. For example, the first essay was probably one of the worst essays I've written, but now that I've learned how to revise things, I can go back and make it easier. " (p. 1). When I met with my professor, I noticed that she always had excellent feedback and that I would be able to write a stronger paper thanks to her comments. When I entered the English Writing 300 course, I hope we will have the opportunity to form peer editing groups By learning all these skills, it will help me in my English Writing 300 course. Without this course. , I probably would have been lost and failed English Writing 300. Another factor that helped me learn all these skills was the professor, without a professor like Heather Donovan I would have been a member of the class board and I would have lost, but Because she had an incredible attitude toward teaching, even if she was sick or broke her foot, she continued to teach with great energy. Nowadays, you don't find teachers who love their job and want to be there...
