  • Essay / The Yearbook - 611

The Yearbook is an annual creation used to record and immortalize the highlights and memories of the past year in AIS. However, the directory committee has recently had issues with directory sales and many factors should be examined. There is a lack of awareness regarding the school directory. Students and parents were not aware of information about purchasing yearbooks, causing them to miss dates and not be able to purchase one. We need to be able to target a group of consumers to purchase the directory. We chose to target parents because by using marketing strategies and hopefully creating awareness through advertising, thereby increasing sales. These strategies include giving parents a fun way to show off how cute their teen was as a baby and what better way to do it than the yearbook. Additionally, children's advertisements would be created before informing parents of what they might miss if they did not purchase a directory. Plus, this would be a great way for our school to offset the cost of the yearbook for everyone, especially parents. With 20-word ads accompanied by images, we could increase the purchase rate in several ways. First of all by raising awareness, but also by convincing parents to buy the directory to be able to see their children. Additionally, another strategy we could use is to determine the ad sizes we will create and then calculate the cost for the overall quantity. We could then find the cost per page of the directory and divide the number of pages by the total estimated expenses. After all these steps, we were able to set a reasonable price, suitable and meeting all requirements. Creating the directory allows students, parents and anyone else...... middle of article ......e topics in their school lives without feeling obligated to cover all aspects of his life. So it's clear that the purpose of the yearbook is not only for parents to look at crazy hairstyles, but also to record memories and stories from school years.
