    Child Labor During the Industrial Revolution - Tori HugginsOur humanity to date has accomplished many things, from the great pyramids of Egypt to landing on the moon. The modern era in which we live and thrive actually foundered on human achievement during the infamous Industrial Revolution. Although many factors of the revolution are considered things we should be extremely proud of, some would say that a dark shadow taints all the achievements, child labor. In our modern times, especially in industrialized countries like Britain, it is quite horrific to consider forcing innocent children to work in dangerous and deadly jobs. Unfortunately, this reality is not that far from home. Since the introduction of factories, manufacturers have needed workers with specific skills and income expectations. Children were the “smart” option, with small hands and bodies and the expectation of little or no income at all.
