  • Essay / Personal Experience: My experience with an Ipod Touch

I took private lessons after school with my friends and spent my time studying with my tutor on the weekends. My schedule for the last semester and a year of college was focused solely on studies. I believed that I had to study hard to pursue my dream and I made the promise I made to my parents true. After a year and a half, I took the transfer test for middle school students at one of the three most talented national high schools in Hanoi, where the capital of my country, Vietnam, was located. I was accepted into one of the top three national high schools for gifted students, called “High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University of Education (HNUE High School)”. At the time I was accepted, my high school ranked second nationally in Vietnam university admission rankings. This was such incredible and wonderful news for my family and especially for myself. I finally kept the promise I made to my parents. My parents didn't believe that I had actually done what I had promised them. I finally received an iPod Touch that I always dreamed of. My parents told me they were even considering an iPod Touch as a high school graduation gift, even if I couldn't get accepted into the top three nationally gifted high schools. When I heard what they said, I realized that I had learned a valuable lesson from my experience. I wondered if I had given up on persuading my parents to buy my iPod.
