  • Essay / Reflection on Social Work Practice - 1097

My peers have given me mostly positive and encouraging feedback. Veronica's advice on the need to communicate confidentiality more precisely, with more factual language such as always instead of most of the time, means that I will practice memory confidentiality more thoroughly with more appropriate language, because the Privacy is important and powerful legislation which I need to be as factual as possible for my benefit and that of Lucy. The encouragement from my peers means that I would like to continue practicing with them and encourage them, as it was a nice self-esteem builder to be told that I use challenging language, key terms, a variety of questions and that I created an accessible relationship with others. a beginning of self-confidence, and this feedback is encouraging and is useful for me to be at the same stage as my peers (Harms, 2007; Ivey & Ivey, 2007; Trevithick, 2005). As a social worker in training, I have learned some positive skills, although many still require more attention, some more than others. Social workers require a lot of flexible skills that are difficult to get started with, but I feel like I'm off to a good start with my peers, my strengths and flaws understood. Reflection individually and with my peers is an important tool for the development of my skills, as well as the practice of this approach, which strengthens my confidence in my future in the development of my skills and in a competent social life.
