    As a student, I eat a lot of fast food. I probably eat out or get drive-through food seven times a week. My mother prepared most of my meals during the week when I was growing up, she always made sure I had a healthy dinner four out of seven days a week. As life has become increasingly busy with work and college, it's much more difficult to achieve a healthy, consistent eating schedule. I love fast food. I love the taste and still have cravings for the vast majority of fast foods. However, I know it's bad for me and can have lasting effects on my well-being. In Eric Schlosser's Fast Food Nation, he exposes the underbelly of the fast food industry. It examines the unhealthy food preparation procedures and corporate greed that are at the heart of the problem. Schlosser examines the meatpacking industry and the stomach-turning factors involved in the process of getting meat on bread.
