During the day, our body's cycle follows patterns that provide us with an energy boost in the morning and a slow decline in the afternoon. These patterns are there to allow us to work hard in the morning and rest in the evening. Rest is a crucial part of our daily lives because when we rest, our body has time to support healthy brain function and maintain physical health. The next step in our understanding of sleep disorders is to understand exactly what sleep disorders are? Sleep disorders are problems with sleeping, including difficulty falling or staying asleep, falling asleep at the wrong time, sleeping too much, or engaging in irregular sleep behaviors.
