Essay / Metallic Glass - 631
Metallic GlassMetallic glass or amorphous metal is a metal which, once melted, will be cooled rapidly to disorganize the particles on the atomic scale. Since the particles are stable but unorganized, the metal or alloy will send kinetic energy to whatever it hits, causing it to bounce or move forward further and longer. Originally used for missiles and space discoveries, this metal is very flexible and suitable for low temperature environments due to the disorganization of the particles, they do not tend to freeze as quickly as other metals. It is also used to make new discoveries in space. NASA has manufactured a device to capture solar winds and any particles contained in solar winds in order to better understand our sun. It's a great way to make new discoveries and also to understand the limitations of metallic glass. It's called Project Genesis. This project was launched and returned to earth unscathed but unfortunately, as it fell through the sky, inside the atmosphere, no parachute came out as planned and the device crashed into the deserts of Utah in 2004. This allowed us to learn more. about the universe and our specific solar system. Most of the collectors, made from different metal alloys, were broken due to their thickness. Fortunately, the particles were not above the metal alloys, but they were below the surface, so it was still possible to collect data or evidence of our existence and how the Big Bang happened. Scientists still study particles today, and with advances in technology, this is creating a whole new way of thinking and could lead to a phenomenal breakthrough in the discovery of our universe. This amorphous metal could change the world... middle of paper ... allic glass mesh shaped into an open-ended tube. This could help maintain blood flow and minimize the risk of stricture returning to the same area. This will be a revolutionary new advancement in the field of biomedicine and could very well save many lives. This discovery has proven to be very beneficial to society and the world because it is a scientific way to correct errors and fill in gaps that previous materials have not filled. It was very effective in achieving its original goal and it was also effective in solving other problems such as biomedical and physical (sports) problems. This is a big step forward because if there are any challenges that need to be solved by a strong, flexible material, then this is it. Imagine if planes were built with this metal technique, they would be both lighter and stronger, and they wouldn't freeze as quickly..
