The novel I will be reviewing today is Cloudstreet. Cloudstreet is a novel written by the very popular Tim Winton. Cloudstreet captures the painful, bitter and sweet fortunes of two Australian families, the Lambs and the Pickles, who live in the same house on Cloudstreet from 1944 to 1964. A quick glance at this novel and you will realize that it is quite long, but the pages fly out so don't let the size intimidate you! Because Cloudstreet is such a long story, it has a variety of themes. It's everything from the importance of place and home to family issues and forgiveness. Even though this novel takes place between the 1940s and 1960s, the issues and themes discussed in this book are still relevant to today's society.
