If we were to reject the idea of race, there would always be these white supremacists who would find another way to say that they are better than others and then minimize minorities . As Eduardo Bonilla-Silva's essay says, there are still white people who believe the stereotypes of many minorities. Simply by removing technical race from their identity, white people will continue to associate these stereotypes with these groups. Again, it comes back to the idea that even if you take away the racism title, the mentality is the same. In today's society, racial profiling is too prevalent to simply ignore. Racial profiling is even worse than any other type of discrimination because it is law enforcement that discriminates against minorities. If law enforcement makes it harder for minorities, it proves that America is not for minorities. This further supports the concept of white privilege in America. Often white people can get away with much more than any minority. White people can completely destroy a city because their favorite team lost without being called thugs or other negative names and without it being called a riot, but when black people gather to protest a event which turned the whole race upside down, we are considered thugs and we start a riot. While whites are simply "celebrating a victory or expressing anger," there are no law enforcement officers to punish them, but when blacks are "rioting," an entire task force is in place before let anyone have the idea of becoming violent. Dressed to attack, law enforcement will rise up and force black people from their posts even if they only hold signs and peacefully protest. This shows that unless your cause is largely
